Golden Rule Acoustic
This year I've changed my style. Realizing the condition of the society, I decided to write Tears of God and I also included the song, Golden Rule. I'm not religious and these songs are not based on religion. They are based on doing the right things in life.
I hope you have time to explore the sounds on each of my cds. (Look for the drop down menu under 'Songs' I have them in order of publication.) As an artist I strive for perfection, comments are welcome.
The Golden Rule
When I was just a little boy
Used to go to school
Teacher would start the morning
with the golden rule
She would reach up, stretching herself
As she took that book from off the shelf.
Look us in the eyes as she smiled and said,
"You don't have to be religious
to know what this good book says."
Do unto others, as you would like them to do unto you.
Honor your mother and your father, they will see you through
Decisions you make in life and the things that you do,
will come back to you.
Now that I've become a man,
those rules I still understand.
But they took that book, with the golden rule,
out of the schools.
Yes that book is not there anymore.
They took it out of the school so long ago
